Welcome to the K-5 Homeschool Helper!
Hey there, friend. I'm so glad you found this.
Whether you're a seasoned homeschool family or you just pulled your kids out last Tuesday and you're running on coffee and hope, this is your spot. The K-5 Homeschool Helper is a free curriculum resource built specifically for Maryville families (and anyone nearby who wants to tag along).
What Is This, Exactly?
Think of it as your homeschool planning buddy. I've pulled together activity ideas, weekly rhythms, subject guides, and printables organized by grade band, so you're not starting from scratch every Monday morning.
Everything here is: - Free. Completely, totally free. - Flexible. Use what works, skip what doesn't. - Local. I weave in Maryville resources, library programs, parks, and field trip ideas because we live here and our kids learn here.
How to Get Started
Don't try to read everything at once. Seriously, grab your coffee and start with one of these:
- How to Use This Site - A quick tour of what's here and how it's organized
- Where to Begin - Personalized starting points based on your kid's grade
- Sample Weekly Rhythms - Grab-and-go weekly schedules you can adapt
- If You're New to Homeschooling - Deep breath. You've got this. Start here.
Browse by Grade Band
Once you're ready to dig in, pick your kid's level:
- K-1 Foundations - Gentle, playful, parent-led learning
- 2-3 Skill Building - Growing independence and fluency
- 4-5 Independence & Reasoning - Reading to learn, deeper thinking
One More Thing
This isn't about being perfect. It's about showing up, being curious together, and making it work for YOUR family. Some days will be magic. Some days you'll count a trip to the Maryville Public Library and a nature walk at Sandy Springs Park as school, and that's absolutely enough.
Let's do this. π
