The Maryville-Alcoa Flying Dolphins is a summer swim team founded in 1973, giving swimmers ages 6–18 a place to develop skills in the water, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, and compete in the Greater Knoxville Area Interclub Swimming Association (GKAISA). They operate in partnership with Blount County Parks & Recreation. Home meets are held at Springbrook Pool in Alcoa. Registration is through the Parks & Rec office at 316 S Everett High Road, Maryville, TN 37804 (or online at parksrec.com). Practice attendance is flexible — swimmers can join sessions at any point during the summer season. New swimmers are always welcome.
