The Walnut Kitchen has been a Maryville dining staple since 2017, serving Appalachian-inspired dishes with a global twist. The rustic-elegant dining room is a nice change from the usual chain spots — think warm lighting, intentional design, and a menu that changes with the seasons. Lunch runs Tuesday through Saturday, dinner Tuesday through Sunday, and there is a Sunday brunch from 12 to 3. Reservations are recommended for dinner (they use Resy online), but walk-ins are always welcome. The address is 606 High Street. It is a great spot for a date night or a family celebration where you actually want to enjoy your food instead of just eating it fast.
