Pearson Springs Park is one of the most popular park destinations in Maryville, and for good reason. This 66-acre park has something for every age and energy level.
The playground is a real winner with separate areas for different ages - younger kids love the smaller structures and splash pad (when it is running), while older kids can tackle the bigger climbing features. The splash pad itself is a huge hit in summer - just bring towels and swimsuits if you want to get in the water.
What I like: - Huge, well-designed playgrounds for different ages - Splash pad is free and open during warmer months - Plenty of picnic tables and grills for family gatherings - The amphitheater hosts free concerts in summer (check the calendar) - Walking paths that are stroller-friendly
Things to know: - It gets crowded on nice weekends, especially at splash pad time - Parking can be tight during events at the amphitheater - No restroom facilities at the playground area (there are some near the main parking)
Pro tip: Arrive early on weekend mornings if you want prime picnic table spots. The park fills up fast, especially when school is out. This is a full-day destination where you can bring lunch and make it a real outing.
