📚 Cedar Bluff Branch Library
- Children's section
- Computer access
- Free WiFi
- Meeting rooms
- Plenty of parking
Located in the Cross Park shopping area, the Cedar Bluff Branch is my go-to library when I need a quiet place to work or want to drop the kids off for some independent reading time. It's one of the more spacious branches with a well-organized children's section that keeps the little ones entertained.
Why families love it: - The kids' area has a nice mix of picture books, early readers, and chapter books - Computer stations for homework help (reservation required) - Easy parking. no hunting for spots at 9am on Saturday - Family bathrooms and a quiet atmosphere
Pro tip from a homeschool mom: They have study rooms you can reserve for group study sessions. I've used these for homeschool co-op meetings when we needed a reliable place that wasn't a coffee shop.
Distance from Maryville: About 20 minutes, so it's a nice destination library. I combine trips here with shopping at nearby stores. The Cross Park area has everything from Target to restaurants, so it's a good half-day errand run.
Library card info: If you live in Knox County, you can get a free card. Maryville residents can also get one. just bring proof of address. Once you have it, you can request holds and pick up at any branch.
The staff here are genuinely helpful and patient with kids. I've seen them do some real magic with wiggly five-year-olds.
