🏃♂️ Mudder's Day Madness Mud Run
This muddy tradition is back for its 14th year and it is the Saturday before Mother's Day -- a perfect way to get outside before summer heat hits. Held at Camp Montvale on Montvale Road, the event runs two courses.
The 5K is for ages 8 and up, featuring rolling trails and 20 obstacles including Adversity Hill, the Tire Traverse, and the A-Frame Climb. Costumes are encouraged, and the most creative entries can actually win an award. Bring a change of clothes -- and maybe a change of underwear.
The Fun Run is for anyone 4 and up. It takes place right after the 5K, is about 1.2 miles, and includes several of the same obstacles. It is not timed, so it is more about finishing muddy than finishing fast.
Vendors, music, and refreshments are on-site for participants and families. Registration is through RunSignup at harmonyfamilycenter.org/mudrun.
The event benefits Harmony Family Center's therapeutic programming at Camp Montvale, including their equine therapy program and therapeutic camps for foster and adoptive children and families.
