Little River Campground on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies opens its swimming pool to the public during summer months. Located off US-321/E Lamar Alexander Parkway on the way to Townsend, it is about 20 minutes north of Maryville — convenient for a cooling-off stop before or after a Great Smoky Mountains trip.
Pool access: $10 day pass (purchased at the camp office) Hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Season: May through September Note: This is primarily a campground, but the pool is open to non-overnight guests. Bring your own towels and swim gear.
Good option for families staying at nearby camps or who just want a quick swim without the full campground commitment. The campground also sits right on the Little River with fishing, tubing, and hiking nearby.
