Pumpkin Patches Near Maryville 2026: Start With Maple Lane in Greenback, Then Head to Oakes Farm

October 07, 2026 ยท by Mary

Pumpkin season is here, and the patches closest to Maryville are a shorter drive than most people realize. Maple Lane Farms in Greenback is the nearest and a good first stop with small kids, so start there.

Maple Lane Farms (1126 Maple Lane, Greenback) sits about 20 minutes south of Maryville and has run its fall festival since 1999. The sign reads oldest corn maze in Tennessee, but for families the draw is the pumpkin patch: a tractor-pulled hayride takes you out to the field to pick your own pumpkin, and there is a small kiddie maze for the under-5 crowd. There is no admission or parking fee, so you only pay for what you do. The big 8-acre corn maze is $12 for ages 5 and up, free for 4 and under; the kiddie maze is $4; and hayrides run $5. Pumpkins sell by size and start around $4.

Maple Lane is open weekends only, October 2 through 31, 2026. Fridays are 6 to 10 in the evening, Saturdays 10 am to 10 pm, and Sundays noon to 6 (a couple of mid and late October Sundays run to 10 pm). One honest heads up: the maze goes haunted at dusk on several mid and late October weekends, so if you want the calm daytime version with small kids, aim for a Saturday afternoon or a Friday evening before dark. The farm is not rain or shine, so call 865-856-3511 or check their Facebook page before you head out if weather looks iffy.

If you are up for a longer drive and bigger crowds, Oakes Farm (8240 Corryton Rd, Corryton) is the classic Knoxville-area pick, roughly 40 to 45 minutes from Maryville. Along with the pumpkin patch it has over 25 attractions, including a big corn maze, giant jumping pillows, slides, a pedal-kart track, and an animal exhibit. Admission is all-inclusive for ages 3 and up, around $17 to $24 depending on the day and whether you buy online or at the gate; kids 2 and under are free. Pumpkins are priced by weight. It runs most weekends through November 1, closes Mondays, and you can book ahead at oakesfarm.com.

A couple honest notes from talking to other parents. Go early on weekends, especially to Oakes, because the line for the tractor ride out to the pumpkin field grows as the afternoon wears on. And the admission prices vary a lot by farm, so choose based on what your kids actually want to do instead of chasing the cheapest sticker.

If the weather holds, this is one of the easier fall outings to pull off with multiple kids. Grab a wagon, bring cash (a few farms are cash preferred), and enjoy the mountain views while they last.
