Kyker Farms Corn Maze in Sevierville: A Family-Friendly Farm Day About an Hour From Maryville
When my kids were little, the hardest part of corn maze season wasn't picking a farm — it was finding one where the littlest kid wouldn't be lost in a field of corn within ninety seconds. Kyker Farms in Sevierville solves that, and it's close enough that a day trip from Maryville is genuinely doable.
Kyker Farms sits at 938 Alder Branch Road in Sevierville, about an hour from Maryville, and it's a real working Tennessee Century Farm that's been in the same family for nine generations. What that means for visitors is four separate corn mazes, not one giant one. The youngest kids can take the smaller "Tater Tot" maze while the bigger ones work through the main puzzle, and there's a Farm Facts maze with trivia to help you decide which way to turn. Nobody has to be the family's maze hero unless they want to be.
The entry includes the mazes, a tractor-pulled hayride out to the pumpkin patch, and one pumpkin to take home. There's also a petting zoo, a playground with tunnel slides, a corn cob swing, a big bouncy pillow they call the korn hopper, corn hole, a miniature zipline, a trike track, and a straw crawl. It's a lot of ground to cover, so we've always treated it as a half-day at minimum. Concessions are on site, but the bonfire sites have made me wish we'd packed s'mores.
They open to the public for the fall season in late September and run through October. A few practical notes for Maryville families. It's off TN 66 near the parkway, so traffic into Sevierville on a weekend gets real — I'd leave by mid-morning. The bonfire sites and pumpkins mean it's also a pretty setting for photos, and the mini zipline and bouncy pillow tend to be the favorites with the elementary set.
