Halloween in Maryville 2026: Spooktacular Downtown and Local Trunk-or-Treats
Maryville packs most of its Halloween into the last ten days of October, and a surprising amount of it is free. Here is what I could confirm for 2026 so far, all of it in town.
Spooktacular Extravaganza (downtown Maryville) Friday, October 30, 5 to 8 PM on West Broadway. This is the big one. Trick or treating at participating downtown shops and restaurants, carnival games, a street dance party, and a costume showcase. Admission and trick or treating are free. The one thing that costs money is the Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest at $5 to enter, with registration from 5:30 to 6:15 and judging at 6:30 on the grassy area across from Broadway Towers. Prize categories include Best in Show, Most Original, Pet & Human Look-Alike, Scariest, Cutest, and Funniest, with prizes from Pet Supplies Plus. The human costume showcase is at 7 PM on the top level of the Maryville Municipal Parking Garage. If rain is forecast, games move under cover to the garage, so bring ponchos and plan for it either way.
Rev Kids Trunk-or-Treat (Rio Revolution Church) Saturday, October 24, 5 to 7 PM at 3419 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy. Decorated trunks, inflatables, and food fill the parking lot, and the church asks for family-friendly trunks and costumes only, no scary themes. That makes it a solid pick for younger kids who are not ready for jump scares yet.
A practical note for Halloween night Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31 this year, and in most Maryville neighborhoods the doorbell starts ringing around dusk. Trick or treating hours vary street to street, so it helps to check your neighborhood's usual times a day or two ahead. And if you want the downtown Spooktacular without the full crush, getting there early is worth it.
