Fall 2026 Program Registration in Maryville: What's Filling Up Before September
Fall soccer registration at Blount County Parks & Rec technically closed August 7, but that doesn't mean your kid is locked out — late registration runs at a $5 upcharge on a space-available basis, and with seven weeks of games starting mid-September, spots do open up when families back out in August. That's the pattern to remember for this whole list: the official window closing is the moment the waitlists start moving.
Everything below is registered in person at 316 S. Everett High Road in Maryville, not online. I know, I know. Write it on the calendar with the kids' birth certificates in the same folder.
Youth Soccer (Ages 5-16) and Soccer for Fun (Age 4)
- Where: Everett Athletic Complex, 318 S. Everett High Road, Maryville
- Cost: $78, includes game jersey. Optional pictures: $18 (or $20 if you wait until picture day). Late registration is $5 extra, space available.
- Youth Soccer (ages 5-16): fall season tentatively begins September 12 and runs 7 weeks. Practices start a few weeks before games, once or twice a week at an area park. Teams are placed by age (as of September 1) and school; ages 5-12 play all-boys or all-girls leagues, 13-16 play co-ed, and 5-6 year-olds do small-sided soccer. Every child plays in every game.
- Soccer for Fun (4-year-olds): fall season tentatively begins September 19, runs 6 weeks, Saturdays 9-10 AM. Non-competitive drills and small-sided play.
- Shin guards and cleats or tennis shoes required for both.
The age-as-of-September-1 rule matters more than it should. If your kid turned five this summer, they're in the youngest bracket. If they don't turn five until October, wait for spring — the spring season runs April 3 through six weeks, with January registration.
The September class slate (mostly at the Everett Rec Center)
Most of these are six-week sessions that start in the first two weeks of September. If your child will miss the first class, the front desk can usually tell you whether late entry is an option for that specific class.

There's also a Dance Stars recital track: 13 weeks of Wednesday classes from September 2, $198 plus a $90 recital fee, with the recital December 19 at Farragut Church of Christ in Knoxville. And Dancing Tots for toddlers runs Tuesdays at Springbrook Recreation Center — $99 per six-week session, parents stay in class.
Ongoing: Maryville Isshin-Ryu Karate
The karate partnership runs on quarters, not sessions, and new students are accepted any time — no contracts, no hidden fees.
- Ages 7-12: Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 PM, Springbrook Recreation Center, $60 per quarter
- Ages 12+: Mondays and Thursdays 7:00-8:30 PM, $120 per quarter
This one is the easiest join-early-September play because there's no session deadline.
One-off: Disc Golf Clinic, Saturday September 26
Professional disc golfers come to the Springbrook Park Upper Fields to teach the game, then you play a temporary 9-hole course. 8-11 AM, $30, and the fee includes a T-shirt and a disc the kids keep. Registration runs July 1 through September 25, so this one is wide open right now — it's the easiest thing on this list to just call and get done this week.
What I'd do this week
- Call (865) 983-9244 and ask the straight question: "Do you have late registration space in fall youth soccer?" Two minutes, and it changes what everything else looks like.
- Book the disc golf clinic while it's still open — September 26 is a long Saturday otherwise.
- If you have a pre-K kid, note that the gymnastics sessions already started August 25. If you miss it, Session 2 runs October 20 - November 24.
One honest caveat: Parks & Rec marks the soccer start dates as tentative on their own page, and the class pages don't publish per-class registration deadlines beyond the dates above. When you call, confirm the dates for your specific class rather than planning around my table. The contact number and address are stable: 316 S. Everett High Road, Maryville TN 37804, (865) 983-9244, parksrec.com.
And if your family is new to fall sports, the spring session is the gentler first time in — registration opens in January and the weather's nicer for learning. Fall just fills up faster, because everyone's kids start school the same week and suddenly need a Tuesday.
