Brand New 2026 Camps: K-POP Dance, Ninja Warrior, and Superhero Academy at Blount County Parks
Blount County Parks & Recreation's summer camp page just got some genuinely new additions this year, and they are worth highlighting even if you've already seen the rest of their lineup.
K-POP Dance Party Camp — brand new for 2026 This is a dance camp focused on K-POP choreography and movement. More specifics are still coming, but it's listed as a full summer camp and registration is open through the Parks & Rec ActiveNet system. Worth bookmarking if your kid has been obsessed with K-POP since they discovered it somewhere.
Ninja Warrior Tumbling Camp — brand new for 2026 If your kid has been practicing parkour moves on the playground or watching the Ninja Warrior competition and practicing on the furniture, this is the camp for them. Full details still being added to the schedule, but it's listed for summer programming.
Superhero Academy — brand new for 2026 For ages 3–8, this is three days of structured play disguised as superhero training:
- Day 1: Power Training — leap, balance, climb, and zoom through skill stations building strength and confidence
- Day 2: Hero Missions — obstacle course rescues, relay races, and problem-solving
- Day 3: Superhero Showcase — come dressed as your favorite hero and shine during the finale
It is the kind of camp where a 4-year-old genuinely thinks they are saving the day, and a parent gets a quiet afternoon of coffee. Ages 3–8.
School's Out For The Summer Party Camp — brand new for 2026 General fun-and-games for kids transitioning out of the school year. Listed with a full summer schedule on the Parks & Rec camp page. Details are filling in.
How to find out more All Blount County Parks & Rec camps are listed at parksrec.com/recreation-program/summer-day-camps. Most are registered online through their ActiveNet system. Some specialty camps like Camp Chickababa (for kids with disabilities) require in-person registration at the office at 316 S. Everett High Road in Maryville.
The Parks & Rec team is still adding camps throughout the spring. Soccer, softball, track & field, performing arts, wrestling, and sports & more kids camps are all listed for 2026 with details still coming in. If you are still deciding what to do with your kid this summer, the page is worth checking back on every couple weeks.
What I like about this year's additions is that they are actually different from the usual sports camp fare. A K-POP dance camp? A superhero training academy for kindergarteners? That's variety.
